Within its majestic walls, that have survived the centuries almost undamaged, one can still admire remarkable buildings dating back to the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries.

An astonishing example is represented by Piccolomini-Freschi Palace: built at the end of the sixteenth century over medieval remains, its Grand Salon shows the influence of classical Venetian architecture. The park, planned in the nineteenth century and now surrounding the Palace, further enhances its beauty.

Palazzo Agricola and the small medieval church are some of the gems that can be seen in the village. Recently restored, the church is enriched with a fresco attributed to the school of Giotto.
